Their first Christmas together. Harrison hadn't felt this sappy and excited since the 90s. Since he entered retirement, he opted to prioritize personal enjoyment, so he wound up going all-out in decorating the estate he had chosen to live in. Just about every inch of the main areas of the manor was decorated, even if it was a tad unconventional in some parts.

He was probably also going to do something crazy; they had only been together for months, yet he was totally smitten and head-over-heels towards Indigo. Humming some Christmas carols, Harrison was about done preparing some over-the-top hot chocolates. He wasn't the greatest of cooks, but he was decently skilled when it came to beverages.

Once he finished decorating them, Harrison carefully entered the living room with a mug in each hand. "Just the way you like it, Indy."

He sat in the living room of this grand estate, looking around at all the fancy furniture and the festive decor. Indigo had expected Harrison to live somewhere far more humble, but he was pleasantly surprised: all this grand design was beginning to look extremely inviting... and maybe, it could be his as well?

Indigo flushed, and tried to compose himself. The Jetson mansion spoke volumes about the types of people Harrison's ancestors were, but Indigo couldn't help admiring their tastes.

When the door opened and Indigo beamed from his place on the couch in his christmas jumper, he wanted very much to smother him with kisses. Being given hot chocolate like that, something his family always did... he was just so attentive and kind. "Oh, thank you, Harrison," He said, scooting to the edge of his seat excitedly. "This is such a wonderful place, I think you downplayed that a tad."

"For a few weeks, I stayed in a little inn as I was too busy at work to go to Gringotts and look at all of the deeds in the vaults."

The only perk of having a vampire father, in Harrison's eyes, was that they had plenty of places lying around.

"You're welcome," he responded with a smile as he took a seat beside him. Harrison also was never much one to boast. He just wasn't the type to show off like that. "It's a nice place. I just don't feel the need to talk about how grand it is."

"Are we going to see your folks at some point during the holidays?"

Since they were together, he might as well get better acquainted with his family in the context of potential in-law.

Indigo took the mug in one hand. The other hand sought his as he sat down. He gazed at him, besotted for a moment, thinking how perfect this little Christmas was spent with him. Of course, he had to see his sisters as well. He was sure they would both love Harrison.

"Yes, we should do," He said happily, "Mother really puts on a spread. Dad will really take to you, but he'll likely be envious of your early retirement. I think he has to wait until he's at least sixty. That being said, he'll probably ask something like 'so what are you doing to do with all that spare time now'?"

Indigo laughed.

"It's unfortunate that you can't answer that honestly..." He took a rather devious sip of hot chocolate after that devious little comment.

Harrison chuckled at the comment. "The occasional little white lie never does harm."

There are a lot of stuff he probably has to hide to make a good first impression as Indigo's boyfriend.

"Every year, despite my lack of cooking skills, I usually make batches of cookies. Maybe you could help me..?" Harrison wondered raising an eyebrow. "I'm sure we could bring some to your folks."

Indigo smiled. Harrison was right, as he was sure his Dad would be presumptuous and judgemental about it.

He took a sip of the hot chocolate. It was very nice, and tasted quite indulgent.

"Well if they're as indulgent as this, then they'll likely be a hit." It would be quite sweet. Going in the kitchen and making batches of cookies with his boyfriend, then offering them to his parents. "I'll help you, although usually my baking doesn't go down too well. Hyacinth will be the only one to tell me honestly, though."

He tutted, and rolled his eyes.

"What flavour were you thinking?"

"Well, I usually make sugar cookies, snickerdoodle, and chocolate chip. The classics."

Harrison was a simple man with simple skills. "Are you good at decorating? Despite my dexterity, icing and I don't get along."
