Digging for Information (Harrison)

A body found in the atrium of the Ministry was something that interested Allison. The fact that the Ministry shut down as soon as the body was first found, so as few people would see it as possible, and the fact that they stated that it was an active investigation both twinged Allison's cover-up radar.

That what lead Allison here today, slinking around the Ministry and their records office to see if she could glean anything from anything that might have slipped into the public record for this case, especially if it was murder, and thus something that shouldn't have much follow-up to it since it was no longer a crime. That was another things that bugged Allison, that little change in the law, and she was thankful that her magical skills laid in defensive magic, so retaliation wasn't the biggest of her concerns.

In some ways, he felt as if he had been alive for a decent amount of time that he had stopped caring about that; his children were becoming old enough to protect themselves, and Harrison was finding some solace in a dark time.

"It's a copy, don't worry about it."

Allison smiled in glee as she heard that this was a copy, before slipping the document into her bag. "Thank you. Do you require payment for the information?" Allison asked as she pulled a small coin purse out of her bag.

"I request no compensation." He had the money. "Keep a good hold of it."

"Trust me, I'm not going to let a lead like this out of my sight. Thank you for your time and information," Allison said very formally before getting up from the table, leaving enough money behind to cover both people drinks. "If you ever hear anything else interesting, I will happily listen." With that Allison walks out of the cafe to go carefully study the new documents and write up a particularly incendiary article.

He nodded as he watched the woman leave. A small smile appeared on his face. The truth was finally going to come out.
