happy chinese new year ((open))

Celeste decided that for once, she was going to share her culture with her classmates due to it being the new year in the Lunar calendar. Dressed in a red cheongsam, she felt slightly out of her element, but it was nice to celebrate something so near and dear to her. She prepared some traditional foods for the holiday such as niangao, boiled chicken, mandarin oranges, very long noodles, jiaozi, and so much more.

The Room of Requirement was decked out in all sorts of red and gold colors with the ceiling and walls being filled with lanterns. Due to it being Year of the Ox, ox motifs were also plastered all over the walls.

She had sent out invitations and a few knuts in red envelopes to everyone in the school to invite them to her Chinese New Year party. Celeste hope they'd attend so she can educate them and maybe teach some Chinese too!

Blanche considered dragging James along with her to go to the Chinese New Year celebration Celeste was hosting, but she ended up being very cagey about it. He didn’t know if he was invited or not, but for some reason she felt like going on her own. She had been imagining what Celeste might be wearing - if perhaps her attire was more befitting of tradition. Her cheeks glowed whenever she thought of it...

So, when she entered the room of requirement, she slowly drank in the atmosphere and decorations.

”Oh wow...”

She had chosen the right colour to wear! Red! Only thing was... where was Celeste?!

There was a girl wearing a Chinese dress. Maybe she should ask her.

”Ooh do you know where Celeste is?!” She chirped cheerfully.

She immediately lit up when she noticed Blanche had arrived. "新年快乐!" Celeste greeted.

"I am Celeste."

Yeah, Celeste in a dress wasn't very typical fashion. To prove it was her, she pointed out the bit of choppy hair growth she was struggling to keep contained.
