Odysseus was in the living room setting up the DVD for the Charlie Brown Christmas special to play on the television as he did every year since Cernunnos was a child; having abandoned plenty of traditional, more magical traditions, what else could they do? This Christmas was also a first in that it wouldn't just be him and Cernunnos: Apollo was there too.

"Cernu! Apollo! Charlie Brown's almost here!"

Apollo's first thought about the house was it was comfortable, and he had to admit that he was happy to not he where he was a year ago. Hearing the man who was his father call him and his brother, Apollo went and joined him in the living room sitting in an arm chair. Smiling as he got comfy and waited for his brother to join them.

Still brushing his teeth, Cernunnos walked into the living room from the bathroom.

"Dad, I thought you were going to fry some bacon like you usually do?"

"Morning. Merry Christmas."

Christmas was never much of a spectacle to Odysseus, especially now as he was ageing as his son, well sons, were getting older.

"Cernu, I wanted background noise without turning on the radio and hearing about the effects of Brexit."

Apollo just watched his brother walk in with his toothbrush in hand, and shook his head. He could not believe that this was his second celebration of the year, and he was actually enjoying Christmas. Bacon sounded good but he did not want to push anything.

"Right. I'll literally cry if you got me Madonna's Madame X album as I've been resisting buying it for sooo long you have no idea!"

He concluded his teeth brushing by spitting in the kitchen sink and rinsing out the toothbrush to sit right by it. Ah, Christmas laziness. Cernunnos entered the living room and took a seat on the recliner.

"Did you not get any gifts this year or have you forgotten to take them out of the under of your bed?"

Once the DVD menu had popped up, Odysseus immediately hit play and tossed the remote to Cernu.

"So, Apollo, our Christmas celebrations are hardly celebrations. We just eat, exchange a couple gifts, play card games, and live vicariously through Charlie Brown."

Once upon a time, he basically had it all. He was rather content with the way his life had ended up however.

"I need to go make the bacon. Do you all want eggs? Scrambled or what?'
