Corn Maze Calling? ((Main Thread))

Theodore had hoped the ministry spending would be different this year, but apparently they still forked out funds for frivolous things like this. No, he hadn't dressed up. He hadn't worn a costume for halloween in his childhood, and certainly wasn't going to start now.

The corn maze was a good idea for people who wanted to get lost. It was extensive, complicated, full of dead ends, and promised something special for those who reached the centre of the maze. Theo didn't know too much about it, but apparently there was a 'spooky' courtyard and refreshment opportunities; as well as a few activity stands.

Thankfully, his job was to merely sit at a table near the entrance of the maze and greet everyone who entered. He was quite certain that he wouldn't be doing that. Instead he sat there with a very surly sort of expression; wearing his usual grand get-up of a clasp-down shirt, three piece suit with embroidered waistcoat, and very shiny shoes. He couldn't be less welcoming if he tried. Still, people didn't seem to be bothering him much. They just got on with it.

Skylar decided to check out the corn maze of the festivities. She decided against a costume but had a tiny pair of devil horns perched on top of her platinum blonde head. She approached the event and smiled at the man who was at the table "Good evening," she said as she approached. "Should be a busy night."

All he had to do was sit there. The queue for the maze was indicated by a sign, and every so often the rope would disappear and admit one or two into the fray. That's why, when someone actually appeared to be talking to him, he didn't look up.

"The queue is over there." He said, impatiently, going over some paperwork.

Skylar shook his head when he tried to direct her to the cue "good for students to know. However I'm not a student" she said dismissing his obvious attempt to dismiss her "if you were to look up you would see that" she said crossing her arms and looking at him with a single raised eyebrow
