Charms Class 2020-2021

Daphne wasn't looking forward to dealing with the children that came into her classroom. Because she couldn't deal with their drama due to how they annoyed her. The only thing that ever kept from leaving her job was the fact she knew she was doing the DE, an favor by trying her best to recruit students to the DE and she knew she wanted to make Hogwarts better for when her son came through the doors. Even if she didn't care much for him due to how she thought he put her life on hold in many ways. But the witch knew this was not the place to show it.

She had made copies of the topics discussed in her class on various pieces on pieces of parchment. The witch had used a spell to put them all on desks. And had put the topics on the board giving it a smirk, she was going to bring her own taste into teaching students. Even if she despised them and didn't feel like dealing with her siblings, but she had no choice. Plus she had her own plans for them, and had ruined their lives in other more vicious ways.

Once everything was in order, Daphne gave an evil smirk. Taking a seat at her desk as she awaited the students to walk into her classroom.

Sadie dreaded going to Charms ever since her sister took over the position as her professor, and knew that her sister would hard on the Cavendish siblings the most. And she knew her sister didn't really care much more kids unless it was her own son. Entering the class she saw that she was the first one and she rolled her eyes, nothing better than arguing with her older sister first thing. She tried to sneak past unto her desk and saw the piece of parchment. Rolling her eyes, Sadie looked up at her sister who was siting at her desk, and she said. "Why the fuck did you have to choose the worst type of charms to teach this year, and don't you think it might be challenging for younger students?" she asked her sister. Knowing to weel that she would be getting a snarky response.

Louis clearly didn't have any worries as he entered the classroom, and offered the Professor one of his dazzling smiles. Charms was his favourite subject. It was the subject that he excelled the most in, particularly charms that were used for practical reasons. Folding clothes and tidying his bedroom with magic was no problem. The spell that he was most excited to grasp was the fidelius charm, which he had been studying about since last year.

He took a seat and read the paper in front of him.

Leo walked in, saw Sadie, and threw himself in a seat nearby. Immediately he gave her a quirk of the eyebrows, and asked: "You ignoring me now?" With a little smirk. It was funny that she was trying. He knew that she would give in eventually with whatever she was pissed about.

Cernunnos entered class hoping the filled vacancy would be cool. Last year, he basically taught class, and it didn't go the greatest.

He looked at the charms list and bit his lip. Such interesting choices...

"I'm your TA, and I already know all of these."

Dewey had been nervous about Charms, because he heard talks about the new professor being a evil woman and he knew her siblings had been fellow students. So there was no lie that Dewey was nervous and he had made his way into the class and saw papers on the desk. He shook his head and saw a girl arguing with the professor and he placed his belongings down. This was going to be an interesting class when he read the course list and he had been nervous. Since he knew these were interesting charms and he sat down and waited for the class to start.

Parker dreaded the idea of going into Daphne's class, because he had no clue just what she was going to do and he knew Sadie would be pissed the majority of the time. So this was only a recipe for a disaster and he was nervous. He knew his sister had been involved with dark magic and was often known as the cruel one of the siblings. So this was going to be nervous for the Ravenclaw and when he entered and saw Sadie was already complaining with Daphne and Leo was there. He rolled his eyes and he had decided to go up to his sister ignoring that Leo was here. "You are making a fool of yourself on the first day of class?" he asked his sister. Not even looking at Leo and he saw what Sadie was looking at and he had looked at Daphne, "What are you teaching?" he asked with curiosity.

Brinley loved Charms class and it was no lie it was one of her favorite classes. So she had wasted no time to get to class and was ready to learn whatever they were learning. She knew it was going to be a good class and she soon made her way into the classroom. She knew they had a professor and she had hoped her teaching style would be interesting. She saw the papers on the seat and she had decided that she took a seat. Getting the paper out, Brinley looked at it and she saw the Charms were definitely the more interesting of the Charms. "Are these Charms even legal to teach? They look like the more violent type of Charms, minus the Levitation charm." she stated with curiosity. Hoping Professor Cavendish would hear her concerns.

Cathelyn wasn't that big fan of Charms but the girl did get here decent grades. She knew there was so much she could still improve on. The girl walked into the classroom with a small smile on her face. "Hello," she said simply. She took a seat somewhere middle of the classroom.

Esme was kind of nervous, this was her first year in Hogwarts and she didn't want to mess it up, she was scared enough as it was to be in school all alone but she knew she'd get there with time. Esme walked into the classroom and took a seat, Esme needed to remember to breath now.

Ezekiel was on his way to Charms, he thought for a brief moment he was running late but it turned out he was not late one bit, when he walked in he saw that there was a good turnout and he took a random seat and waited for the class to begin.

Charms: A class that Rafe had mixed feelings about. It was something that could be used for entertainment purposes, but so were the other classes. With Herbology he was able to find interesting plants one could add to people's food or drink; the same could be said about Potions. Transfiguration was curious that you could find quite a few things if you tweaked them would likely get him tossed into Azkaban but then so could Charms. Which was why he continued to attend the classes rather than just dropping it. Entering the classroom he took a seat and once he read the list a smile slipped onto his face. "Interesting," he mused. Some of them were basic and would be boring having to sit through them again, but the others...

Leo snorted loudly at Parker.

"Who's makin' a fool of themselves?" He jabbed his thumb in the direction of the board. "Topics are on there, dipshit."

It was fun to wind up this kid sometimes.

Dewey didn’t know what to think with the class, and he heard stories about the new professor. So that definitely made him nervous. Walking down the hall he had heard commotions, which meant it had to even more interesting. Finally getting to class he saw people standing, and he looked around giving a sigh as he took a seat and read the syllabus allbus.

Ezra heard stories of the new Professor, and how she had a long history. It was something that Ezra had to say was interesting, because he knew Hogwarts was getting interesting. Although he also heard talks from the Slytherin Sadie who was her sister that there was not a really relationship between the two, so the male had a feeling that would make this even more interesting. Entering the classroom, he saw others were already in the class, and he took a seat. Taking a look at the schedules that were on the paper, and he let out a smirk. "About time we learn something interesting." he chuckled.

Blake had made his way to Charms and had been curious to what could bring. As the year prior they did not have much of professor and Largo was being their professor it seemed. So it could be interesting to him for see what an actual professor could do, and he was ready. Entering the class he looked at the group of students talking, and he said. "You know it's rude to talk in class right?" he asked giving them looks before going to take his seat.

Daphne got annoyed when her first student in had to be little sister, and had to be bitch. The woman had been gave her sister a cold stare, from her desk. "They are the charms that this school fails to teach, Sadie, and you were raised to watch your language with your professors. So unless you want me to take house points away sit, and mind your own business. Remember you don't get away with everything in this class, and I'll gladly send a letter to our parents." she said giving her sister a look. Only to be annoyed by Sadie's boyfriend Leonides coming in, and him going about her ignoring him. "No one cares about the two of yous lover quarrel, so if you don't mind please take a seat." she said with distaste. The witch had no use for her sister's boyfriend, and knew it was only going to be something was going to end.

Which she had plans on making sure happened, and she had ignored her little brother's comments of them trying to be quiet. "No one cares, Parker. Now before I lose it please take a seat." she said giving the three of them stern looks. She truly hated teenagers, and their ongoing drama. And when she heard the voice of a boy mentioning he was her teacher's assistant, and how he already knew them. "So I've heard, and now you will learn them again. And assist your fellow classmates in the process." she said as she looked at the class, not understanding the need for a TA.

Ignoring the rest of her students sharing their thoughts, once everyone was in the classroom. The witch had gotten up from her desk, and she looked at them. All faces she hated looking at, but knew that she needed to do a job for the Death Eaters. That she intended to go through with no matter what it cost her and she let out a fake smile. "Now good morning class, I am going to brief. Because I am sure many of you have heard enough welcomes from your professors." she said with a smirk.

"My name is Professor Cavendish, and as many of you now I am new. This year I will be your Charms professor, and as it seems this class hasn't seen much in the past couple years. So I intend to change that for you students, because as it looks none of you are prepared to use charms in the real world." she said with annoyance. It was something had pissed off the woman, because she was going to do her best to make sure she did justice by the DE. "Now to start off class, as you can see I gave you all a list of Charms you'll be learning this years. Charms I hope you all have fun with, and to answer you question if they are legal or not. The answer is if they are in the curriculum they are legal, and anyone who says otherwise, may speak to me after class." she said in authoritative tone.

Now she thought it was time to start, "Now today we'll be learning about the Disillusionment charm, and now can anyone tell what the Disillusionment charm is?" she asked giving them all a look. Hoping that maybe she could have them volunteer, later in class.

Cathelyn was being quiet there the whole time when the people kept talking. The girl did understand that siblings had their rivalry and everything and didn't always get along so this was actually amusing to her to watch. She just kept smirking there now and just rolled her eyes once the professor did begin to the class finally. This meant they will actually learn something here now.

"It's the charm what helps you basically blend in with your surroundings like the chameleon but it doesn't make you invisible," she said after she had raised her hand and that the permission to speak up. She knew more about the Charms than she should have. Then again she was always learning out of the classes too and she wasn't even sure why she had read about this before.

Nemesis had been trying her best to not get involved with class, and thought it could be interesting to get details on Professor Cavendish from the back. So she had been sitting, and she was listening as she gave a rather cold introduction, that made Nemesis annoyed. Hogwarts needed to higher much better professors, and not give them the crappy lot. She sat back, and she sat back, and kept to herself during the course of the lesson.

From the first few words that had come out of the Professor's mouth. She could tell that this class wasn't not going to be much of an adjustment from her classes at Durmstrang. Which in a way made Nina feel better, because as much as she disliked it. The witch was used to learning about the Dark Arts, and all that came with the Dark Arts. So she had looked at the course list slowly, and she had soon looked back up at the professor, when she heard a younger student respond.

The witch was shocked to hear that the girl knew a charm that sounded as advanced at that, but she still felt a little nervous about the professor to say the least. But she was prepared, and just hoped that the lady didn't have the wrong intentions with her plans.

Because she sounded cold as hell.

Lorna had taken up a seat near the back of the classroom, where she wouldn't be noticed if this class turned out to be as boring as it had been in years passed. If it were the same as the past, she couldn't be bothered to actually try to pay attention. Though, as she looked at the syllabus that was on her desk she had to say that she was intrigued. At least the charms they would be learning weren't just basic, dull ones.

Sitting up a little straighter in her seat, she listened to the words the professor had to say. The somewhat cold manner that she had not bothering Lorna in the least. She was used to such things. She would be sure to pay attention, though. Maybe it would help her out in the end after all.

Okay, whatever. At least for once he didn't have to force himself in the professor role...

Cernunnos felt a bit skeptical about this new professor's approach, but it was better than nothing.

This professor already had Roxanne disliking her. She had been sitting back as she had listened and turned to Cernu, giving him a sigh, “This woman is crazy” she said. The woman clearly didn’t care much for her job and she was trying to teach them.

“You know you can be a little nicer.” she said giving her a glare.

Esme didn't know how everything came to be about but apparently this class was on the verge of getting out of hand. The young first year just sat there hoping that the talking would stop and she could learn some proper Charms.

Ezekiel didn't care what was going on in the class as long as he got his grade and could get to his next class on time he was good to go. Kiel simply ignored the other students around him.
