Never One to Judge (Open)

Esme is one to never stay in the library to study since there were the ones who ruined it by talking and ruining her time but she didn't want to be alone at the lake where she usually went to be alone, so she sucked up her pride and took a seat in the back of the library where it was definitely more quiet. She was reading a book on magic, she would have draw but she didn't want to bother people with the scratching of her pencil when she decided to draw something beautiful. Esme continued to read.

He laughed. "I don't know why I didn't think of doing that!" It'd make life so much easier if he had done that.

"Mum ends up right a lot 'cause my tummy hurts when I eat too much..."

Esme couldn't help but giggle when he said how he never thought of that. It was quite amazing how she could be smart in different ways. "See! Believe me it will probably work if you make it look really convincing" Esme nodded her head.

"I know, my tummy gets that way too" Esme added.

"Maybe I'll eat a lot of asparagus and a lot of ice cream for dinner one day! See how that works!"

It was a good thing he wasn't a Hufflepuff or he'd be eating all the time due to the kitchens.

Esme couldn't help but giggle but she heard the 'Sh!' Sound coming from the librarian and gave an apologetic smile before looking at Hugo. "Yeah, it might work, just eat the same amount of both or it'll look suspicious" Esme added. When did she become a bad influence?

When he asked if the older kids did that as well, Esme shrugged. She had no idea if they did, it would be amazing if they did. "I don't know for sure, it would be cool if they did" Esme replied.

The older kids were bigger and likely could fit in more food. He couldn't see why not!

"I'll ask Bucktooth if he does that later!"

Esme was flabbergasted when it came to another nickname that she had no idea who was the true name behind it. "Who is that?" Esme asked confused. She really needed to get caught up with the nicknames of the other Hogwarts students.

Esme couldn't help but giggle once more when it came to the whole nickname on family, she would love to have nicknames for her siblings if they lived with her. "You're very creative at nicknames, so what would be mine?" Esme was really curious now.

"Mermaid!"

She looked like a mermaid to him.

Esme touched her hair and laughed at the nickname, it definitely did fit her for sure. "I love that nickname, thank you" Esme thanked him.

Hugo exchanged a cheeky smile. "You're welcome!"

"What would my nickname be?!" What kind of a nickname could a kid named Hugo be given anyway?

Esme smiled and looked at Hugo thinking of a good nickname for Hugo. There were two going through her head and she was mentally thinking which one fit most. She thought before smiling at her new found friend. "Curlydor" she smiled. His hair was curly so it made sense.

Esme couldn't help but laugh, it was nice that he liked his nickname from her, she wouldn't be made if he didn't like it, everyone had their own opinions and what not. "Yes you are, wear that nickname with pride" Esme joked.

Hugo laughed. "I, Curlydor, will save mermaid from the yucky huge spiders! Ahhh!"

Esme couldn't help but giggle at her new found friend's antics. "Oh my god curlydor! Save me please!" Esme pretended to need help.

Esme pretended to be in serious trouble until Hugo 'saved' her. She giggled and hugged him playfully. "Yay! Curlydor saved my life, how can I ever repay you?" Esme asked playfully with a giggle.

Hugo thought for a bit on how to be repaid. "Mermaid kiss Curlydor!"

Esme was a little shocked at what he wanted, Esme was eleven and never been kissed before. Esme smiled nervously. "A kiss? I have never kissed anyone before" Esme replied honestly.

Esme looked at him and thought about it, would she even know what to do when it comes to kissing someone? She had no idea, but she knew it would have to be handled eventually. Esme shrugged before leaning up and giving his lips a peck with hers. After like three seconds she pulled away. "I repaid you!" She said happily.

"That was amaaaaaaazing!" A peck was a big deal to little Hugo. "Mermaid is a mermaid!"
