Darren stood in front of a chalk board writing his lesson plan for the year as he waited for students to arrive. The first lesson of the year was a personal favorite of his from when he was in school. He would be teaching the students about boggarts and how to defend themselves from one.

Macmillan decided to might as well get his out of the way and went after Carina. He watched as the boggart began turning into his relatives. All he could hear was their disapproval towards his choices and his father admitting Macmillan is not of his blood. Oh no no no. This needed to stop.

Pulling out his wand, he needed to stop himself from feeling emotions he never wanted to confront.

"Riddikulus!" yelled Macmillan as he pointed his wand at the boggart. He let out a sigh of relief after it disappeared and he stepped back hoping nobody would ask him about it.

Dagger watched as students went and in his mind he knew he was going to hate this lesson, he didn't like having to show his fear considering he didn't really have one. When the Ravenclaw boy finished going, Dagger sighed and stepped up to the plate. The boggart changed to his mother, he rolled his eyes before grabbing his wand.

"Riddikulus!" he watched as his mother turned into a balloon and floated away, he stepped off to the side.

Alayna stepped up and watched as the boggart transformed into her father. She went pale and just stood there staring at the familiar features of Theodore Nott. She began shaking where she stood and couldn't even bring herself to raise her wand. She tried to even her breathing and managed to lift her arm "R-Ridikulus." She said and watched as the boggart turned into a wave of smoke

Ezra was never good at Defense Against The Dark Arts, despite his siblings being famous for practicing defensive magic, but it was something that never made much since to him. But he managed to do well enough on his OWLS to be in the class, so here he was. The Slytherin had been in the back of the class as he watched Professor Parker introduce the lesson, and saw the other plans for the year. It didn't seem to interest him in the slightest, but he was willing to learn.

When he learned they would be learning about boggarts, the Slytherin rolled his eyes. It was something that he knew due to his mother's apperance would be something that would end up being scotch clean, and people would find it weird. But it didn't take long for it to be his turn, and he had saw the face of his mother Ezra looked, and he shouted. "Riddikulus." seeing his mother turn into sparklers. The male let out a laugh, hoping none thought it was weird.

Blake was ready to learn about defensive magic, and hoped that Professor Parker would do his justice by the subject, and not botch it up. The male thought it was a good class, and it should be taken seriously for him, and he intended on taking it seriously. Sitting he had listened to Professor Parker go on about the class and what they'd be learning about this class. He rolled his eyes at the idea of boggarts, didn't make much sense to teach them the not so interesting subjects. But he supposed it could be interesting to see all that people were nervous of in the class.

So he had waited for his turn as he watched everyone go in front of him, and when it came his turn. The male walked up and saw his father come, and he shouted. "Riddikulus!" he said. His father soon was dressed in a funny outfit, and he chuckled. "Now you finally look good." he said before going back and let other's go ahead of him.

Roxanne didn’t considered herself the most interested in Defensive Magic, but here she was. Trying to get a NEWT in it to make her family proud. Since that’s all they wanted and when it came her turn the witch shouted. “ Riddikulus.” watching a mad grandmother turn into a jack in the box.
