Albus had wanted to take Mackenzie's advice about being supportive of James. He had a feeling he'd probably regret it, but he couldn't stand arguing with James. He hadn't done a lot of what James did, and maybe he could come off as being a bit of a buzzkill a lot of time.

He didn't want a reputation of being like Jerome.

He sent his brother a message to come to Zonkos with him, and he'd have a blast. "It's your favorite shop." he said to an approaching person. "Figured we could spend the day bonding."

Since he already spent some kind of quality time with his dad, James decided to might as well take up Al's offer to go to Zonko's together. It took him a while to find his brother, so James pursed his lips slightly when he approached him.

"Er, hey, Al..."

Zonko's hadn't been his favorite store in a while, so he didn't know how to respond.

Albus felt bad when he saw that it didn't exactly impress James. He did want to make a point to enjoy the time with his brother today and he sighed.

"I am sorry it couldn't have been better."

He just wanted to be a good brother for once. Since he knew he treated James like a basket case.

Since his dad wanted to be more active, James supposed he would have to entertain his brother more, even if he found his preaching quite annoying.

James rested his hands in his trouser pockets.

"At least you're not, er, askin' me 'bout Luna..."

He heard from a lot of his family that Luna was the last thing he wanted to talk about.

"I figured she'd be the last person you'd want to talk about."

It wasn't Albus business who James talked too.

"Er, I'm just bloody tired of people constantly askin' me about her when they could mind their business for once. If I wanna bring her up, I will."

James sighed and walked into Zonko's.

Albus knew it had to rough to deal with that right now. “I can only imagine how much it sucks.”

He didn't want to hear about girls and he figured he'd bring her up.

“I am going on a date with Mackenzie.”

"You're goin' on a date with her? I thought she was interested in Tiernan?"

James squinted his eyes as he made what might be a horrible realization.

"Is she trying to seduce the entire quidditch team?"

Albus didn’t see an issue with Mackenzie. She was nice and pretty, and they had Quidditch in common. He rolled his eyes at James. “Well Tiernan is kind of nonexistent plus he’s a twat.”

He didn’t like him.

“I don’t know, but I told her she doesn’t have to be like the twins.”

"Do ya know how fucked we're gonna be next practice if Emerald finds out? She's gonna cry that it's a 'conflict of interest'!"

James glanced at some products on a shelf, very tempted to find a way to annoy Emerald until she shut up about it.

Albus didn’t think Emerald cared who they fucked. “I don’t think Emery cares all she wants to know that we will put all our effort into Quidditch. She fucked Slytherins before.”

He had liked Slytherins girls a lot.

“They are fiery.”

"...That ain't it. It's 'cause Luna's a chaser and Kenzie's Slytherin's captain."

James grabbed a few bars of frog soap. All he had to do was a bit of transfiguration on those.

"She might think they're tryin' to discover our team's strategies."

Albus had felt like James was being a tad bit over dramatic.

“I doubt she thinks that. She fucked Ryker Melkor.”

She had no place to tell them who to fuck.

“I mean she prefers Gryffindor guys.”

James heard enough people asking about his own love life. He certainly wasn't in the mood to hear about Emerald's.

"Do ya ever get tired of most people, Al?"
