forget you ((reed))

Cat was excited to be made president of the Glee club, and she had so many plans. She loved singing with a passion plus it gave her some form of power in this school. She had hoped people would join, and she could enforce her own rules. She also knew it required her to meet with Professor Jackson, and she had been sitting in the Music Classroom waiting for the supervisor.

On his way back to the music classroom, Reed's path was disturbed by a tropical rainforest manifesting in one of the corridors. So, he had a monkey climbing all over him that would not let go. To make matters worse, the staircases wanted to move anywhere but the direction he wanted to go. It wasn't the best time to be Reed. He had students to serve! There was going to be another club to supervise! Yet the castle wanted to interfere.

He finally made it in with his hair grabbed and a couple packets of crisps in hand. "Yo, Cat. Before we talk about the club, the second floor turned into a rainforest. This monkey chose me to be his dad! It won't let go! No monkey phobia?"

Cat had watched the chaos unfolding with the monkey on Professor Jackson, and she had looked at him. "So you are the father of a monkey?" she said with confusion. She looked with disgust. "Why would you want to keep a monkey?" she said with confusion. 

They were cute, but not her pet.

"I didn't choose the monkey dad life, dude! The monkey dad life chose me!"

Sighing, he sat down on his desk, trying to lure the monkey to at least sit in his desk chair if nothing else.

"This glee club thing is gonna rule! How many interested classmates have you found?"

Cat often felt like Professor Jackson had been taking drugs half the time. "Are you taking mushrooms?" she asked with a little bit of concern.

She agreed this Glee club was going to rule, "I got Luna so far. I am hoping to post a sign up sheet." 


"I want the club to accepting of everyone."

He shook his head. "Not during school hours!" But he could understand why some students might assume that about him; Reed carried himself a lot more casually than most of his colleagues.

After what felt like ages, the monkey had finally let go of his shirt. Reed was going to have to figure out where he was going to drop it offf too; he wasn't sure if he was quite ready to have a class pet of his own.

"Okay, if you're gonna post a sign up sheet, you gotta do it near the Great Hall. Every student's gonna see it! Who's all in your music class? You can ask them too. I'll ask James if he wants to join. He's an awesome singer, Cat!"

Cat let out a bit of a chuckle, she definitely felt like Professor Jackson was one of the nicer of the professors who didn't have a stick up their ass. She was shocked Headmaster Riddle didn't fire him , since she always suspected the man to side with the Death Eaters.

She felt like the school tended to play favorites.

"We could put in our common room, and I have some friends in other houses who will put in the common room, but I think we should do maybe like a fun get together to get people to want to join." she said giving him a bit of a smile. "I just hope we don't get ran by the old school kids in the school." she sighed, she spent the past six years trying to dodge them.

Yeah, yeah, all those will work too! We need as much exposure as possible so they know what a glee club is!"

Reed felt some paperclips hit his back. He brushed it off with a chuckle since at least it wasn't his stapler. Now that would hurt.

"How do you plan on making sure your classmates know it isn't as boring as the frog choir?"

Catalina had a plan to sing pop music and songs that we relate to the kids. This wasn’t going to be some boring Glee club. She let out a bit of a smile.

“What if we sing music that purely speaks to the kids? Like pop, a lot of my class love pop music.” she said as she thought of all things.

Even some purist kids could relate to muggle music in some shape or form

"Any particular singers? Groups? I know Celestina Warbeck is grandma music..."

Reed was a lot more familiar with muggle music, so he was sort of useless when it came to Glee Club songs. And he was pretty sure none of the students would want to sing Death Grips.

Grabbing one of the pens on his desk, he handed it to her. "Write down some names, and I'll see what teaching materials I can find when I go to the muggle world this weekend."

Cat had been more familiar with muggle music, since it was a common practice, and sometimes wizarding music could get annoying after a while. "Do you think we could do muggle music, and we do have do the classic Do the Hippogriff." she said with a smile on her face. She got a quill and began putting down her favorite songs for them to do this year.


She handed it to Professor Jackson. "Thoughts?"
