A sea of green (open)

Carina was sat in front of the fire place cozied on the couch with a book open in front of her. She was making mental notes to lend the book to Ptolemy when she was done, he did enjoy a good read and this was a rather fantastic one. She was so invested in the world she was learning that she didn't hear someone approach her

Luna was taking the night to herself as she spent a lot of her week getting ready for Quidditch. She was going to prove to the world she was better than Mackenzie. Most of the Slytherins had a chip on their shoulder, and yes they were in the greatest house, but they could have a little bit more of open-mindness. She had walked into the common room, and spotted Carina.

"I am shocked you aren't with your friends." 

She had nothing against Carina, but a lot of Slytherins were mean to Cat.

Carina looked up and smiled at Luna, "Oh, I didn't see you. Sorry. Yeah, Alayna is off barking orders at Ptolemy and Mackenzie is off doing something or other." She marked the page on her book and closed it, crossing her legs on the couch as she sat up, "I'm surprised you aren't glued to your broom prepping for quidditch." She knew Luna loved to fly and was quite good at the game.

Luna had liked Alayna and Carina as friends, but she sometimes felt like a lot of them didn’t do things to better themselves. They all grew up throughout Slytherin and she gave a shrug. “Well that’s sounds a lot like them. Just really wanted to take a night to myself, but tomorrow is back to business.” she commented. She was very Quididtch die hard and wanted to win, and sometimes felt like she was picking up slack. “What book are you reading?”

She laughed a bit at how dedicated she was to her craft, "I'm sure with you and Mack on the team this season will be great. And I'll be there cheering you guys on!" She said rather excited. She loved being a cheerleader. She showed her the cover of her book, "It's by a muggle author named Rick Riordan. It's about a boy who's the son of the sea god Poseidon. It's a rather addictive read."

Luna knew as a friend she needed to be supportive of Mackenzie, but she had felt that she tried a little bit harder at Quidditch than Mackenzie did. She also had been someone who tended believe she was better than a lot of people, and she smiled. "Yeah Mackenzie is a really great captain." she sighed, even if deep down Luna wished she wasn't passed over.

"What's the book called?" she said with a bit of a eyebrow raised, "Don't greek gods already have kids in Greek mythology?" she asked, because Greek mythology sucked at times.
