Put out the flames (open)

Ashton sat back, relaxing in an empty compartment he had bullied some second years out of at smoked a cigarette. He watched as the smoke swirled around him each time he exhaled. Why was this bloody ride always so long? Why couldn't they just portkey to Hogwarts? He took another drag and exhaled, watching the swirls again as his head spun to from the rush of nicotine.

It was the smell of cigarette smoke that drew her in. The smell was faint at first, just a little whiff that could have all been her imagination but she followed it anyway until she managed to come to a compartment it seemed to be coming from. She peered inside and saw Ashton sitting there with the cigarette pressed to his lips. “should have known it would be you I’d find” she said with a flirty smile. She was still a little hung over from her birthday the day before but that didn’t deter her.

Ashton smirked when he saw Amara Jordan enter the compartment. Damn, she looked good as hell. Then again, she always did. He let his eyes wander up and down her frame before giving her a smirk, "Care for one?" He asked, pulling the pack out of his jacket and holding it out to her.

Amara caught the way Ashton looked her up and down, a smile coming to her full lips as she reveled in the attention. Then she moved across the compartment, swaying her hips a bit in the process just to give him a little something else to look at before sitting on the seat beside him. ”Might as well.” she said as she took one and pressed it to her lips. ”Gotta light?”

Ashton watched as her tiny waist moved with every step she took and chuckled deep in his throat, "You are a little vixen, aren't ya, Jordan?" He dug into his pants pocket and pulled out a muggle lighter to light the cigarette for her, "You know, when I first saw ya I thought you'd grow up to be a good old little Miss perfect. I much prefer this reality."

Amara gave Ashton a flirty smile since he made it very obvious that everything she was doing was working for him. She loved the fact that he couldn’t seem to take his eyes off of her. “Hmmm, I take that as an admission that you like what you see?” of course, he did. She knew she had her looks going for her! She took a drag from the cigarette as he lit it for her then pulled it from her lips as she laughed a bit at his words. “Being little miss perfect would be boring. I like walking on the dangerous side.” she replied with a cheeky little grin.

"If my actions were not enough, let me try words instead. If there wasn't a risk of someone walking in I'd have you pinned to that seat by now." He said, his voice lowering as he thought of just what he would do with her, to her, whatever. "Oh I bet you are quite a dangerous woman, Miss Jordan." He chuckled a bit and looked at her again, "How does a specimen as gorgeous as you remain on the market?"

Ashton’s words sent a little thrill through her, curse the fact that anyone could walk in at any time because that was sounding pretty good right about now. “Hmmm, such a tease.” she flirted as she took another drag from the cigarette. “I’ve been told I’m a lot to handle.” she said with a shrug in response to his question. She had never been the type to settle down. No one had ever really given her reason to and generally she was the type who got bored easily so long term things never really worked out. “What about you, Harrington? What’s kept you on the market?”

"It is only a trade for fear of you being seen by someone besides me. Trust me on that." Ashton normally didn't give a shit, but something about Amara brought out some instinct to protect her. "I am not afraid of a challenge. Where is the fun in easy?" He was a bit shocked by her question but quickly composed himself, "No one has been worth it to me." He was blunt, but honest, if nothing else.

“Worried about protecting my virtue, huh?” she asked with a laugh. It wasn’t like she hadn’t pulled her shirt off or anything like that without hesitation during more than one game of truth or dare. She had never been shy of her body. Though, maybe it was a little sweet that he cared about others walking in on them and seeing her… “easy is boring.” at least, she thought so in this situation. “Makes sense. Guess I’m the same way.” no one could keep her attention, at least no one had been able to yet.

"Is there any virtue to protect?' he asked in a teasing tone and took another hit off the forgotten cigarette. He listened to her and smirked, "I know plenty of guys that would be throwing themselves at your feet, worship the ground you walk on, praise you every single day. You are telling me none of those guys interest you?" He wasn't sure if it was true or not. But he had seen the way guys tended to stare at Amara. The way he stared at her.

“Probably not.” Amara confirmed with a laugh. She had never worried about who saw her or anything like that. She just did what she wanted and whatever she thought was fun at the time… or whoever. Another laugh left her lips as he explained how he thought plenty of guys would treat her. “As they should. But nah, none of them have held my attention for long.” it was no secret she had snogged plenty of guys, probably a lot more than that too but she always got bored. She wasn’t a girl who usually dated. She always said it wasn’t for her, she liked to keep her options open. Though, maybe there was something about the way Ashton was looking at her… she took another puff from the cigarette and looked away, out the window for a second. He was like her, wasn’t he? She had to have been imagining he was looking at her any way other than he wanted to do just what he told her he did and press her up against the seat and have his way with her.

"Then they are fools to neat treat you like the queen you are." The words left his mouth before he could gain control of his tongue. Where has that come from? Flirting was one thing, pointless flirting. But what confused Ashton was that he had actually meant the words he spoke. He cleared his throat and removed his jacket, "It's getting kind of stuffy in here, yeah?"

“You want to give them the memo for me?” she continued teasing, believing that he was just flirting with her like he did with all of the other girls. That was what guys did anyway, right? She bit her bottom lip a bit as she watched him remove his jacket, unable to look away for a moment before realizing that she was getting a little toasty herself. “Mhm, it’s definitely getting a bit hot in here” she confirmed as she tucked her hair back behind her ear and glanced at the window. If only they could be opened… but that would probably be a safety hazard or some such nonsense.

"What kind of fool would I be to do that? Let them miss their opportunities. I plan to seize mine when the time comes." He said with a smirk and gave her a sly wink, trying to shake off the weird feeling he had had before. Ashton tossed his jacket beside him and rested his hands behind his head, his muscles slightly flexing due to the position, "I have a feeling we will be spending some time together this year."

Amara still couldn't take her eyes off of him as he put his hands back behind his head. She thought that maybe it should be a crime to look like he did, especially when he was looking at her like he was with that sexy smirk on his face. "Oh yeah? You don't seem the type to let a good opportunity pass you by." She thought he was just flirting still... Maybe trying to get in her pants or just having a little fun so she went right along with it. "You think we will? And whatever would make you think that?" Not that she was complaining. She liked being around Ashton. They had plenty of things in common from what she had seen and she knew that they could have fun hanging out together.

"Oh never darling. Life is too short and fleeting to let something you want slip away." He looked her up and down once more and found it a bit harder to contain himself, but he managed to do so. Why did she have to look that good first thing on the train? He raised an eyebrow at her question and chuckled, "Because I plan to make it so." He said it in a way as though the answer should have been obvious.

“Yes, it is.” Amara agreed. Things could change in an instant and she never wanted to be the person who regretted not living or making the most of her life. It was part of the reason she was the way she was. That and the fact that she loved the attention. A smile came to her full lips as he answered her question so surely. “Sounds like someone is awful demanding.” she teased with a bit of a laugh. She liked the idea but she couldn’t help but tease him anyway. “Good thing I like the sound of us hanging out more this year.”

"Would you prefer me any other way?" He leaned forward with his elbows on his legs, "I think you secretly enjoy it." He said, his voice a bit huskier than earlier, "I think it truly drives you wild." He looked at her and smirked, "You got anything on you to make this trip more fun?" A few cigarettes only did so good when the trip was hours long

"Maybe you're right." Amara agreed as she watched him lean closer. She tugged her full bottom lip between her teeth as she noted the huskiness of his voice, the way he called her out on his confidence driving her wild. "I won't deny it." She said with a bit of a smirk. She didn't have a problem admitting that maybe his confidence did drive her a little wild. She then put out the cigarette that she had nearly forgotten all about and pulled her bag onto her lap to begin digging through it. "I should have something in here..." She said, looking for the flask she had hidden in the secret pockets of her bag. After a moment, she pulled it out triumphantly and twisted the lid off. She took a drink from the bottle then held it out to him. "I only have this on me, I do have some more hidden in my trunk." She said with a smile, she couldn't do the school year completely sober after all!

Ashton smirked as he received reassurance on his thoughts, "Well darling, just you wait." When she began digging in her back he let his eyes trace the curve of her body and smirked to himself. She really was rather delectable, and he would find a way to make her his. He smiled when she pulled out the liquor, "You are a goddess, Darling."

Amara was like a sponge soaking up all of his praises. She lived for it. There was still that small part of her that was insecure, that small part she kept locked down at all costs. Ashton's compliments helped her keep it buried deep and to be able to show only confidence. She could practically feel his eyes on her as she dug in her bag and it brought a smile to her lips. Then she finally found just what she was looking for and handed it over. "I know, but don't let that stop you from singing my praises." she teased. Then she moved over to sit beside him instead of across from him so they could pass the flask between them more easily.
