First Annual Music Night ((Open to ALL))

This was it. This was really happening. His first year as a professor, he managed to orchestrate an entire student function with the help of Camille and the encouragement of Skylar. Skylar was the awesomest dudette he'd ever met, and he didn't know if he could've pulled this off without her.

There was extraordinary feedback to his crystal messages surrounding the night although many of them ended up being last minute; that kind of response was heartening and hype generating. If this went well enough, it could easily become an annual event! That'd be epic! Professor Reed Jackson making waves at the bottom of the professor totem pole. Hell yeah!

The gym was done up to have a makeshift stage with the audience being rows of chairs and the bleachers. Reed could tell that his superiors were doing their best to ensure that the investment into the gym wasn't a complete waste as it seemed like they were hosting nearly everything in it as of late.

Reed dressed himself like a beatnik critic by wearing a black jumper, black slacks, and a pair of sunglasses. He had to look cool. Stepping up to the stage, he tapped the microphone. "Test. 1. 2. 3. Test."

Satisfied, he nodded and waved at everyone in the gymnasium nervously. Time to be the great speech maker or whatever.

"Um, hey, dudes, dudettes, and everyone else! If you don't already know me, I'm Professor Reed Jackson, and I teach the music classes." Chuckling, he scratched his neck. "Welcome to our first ever music night at Hogwarts! Many of your friends, enemies, schoolmates, yeah, have all come up with songs specifically to entertain you TONIGHT. Before we get to them, I wanna thank a few people first. Thanks to Cam- Professor Voclain for letting us have this sort of function and being involved all the way to make sure it happens.” He motioned to the glitter glue craft decorations of musical notes and instruments on the walls. "Thanks to everyone that's come out tonight whether you're just performing or watching. Coming here instead of staying in your dorm automatically makes you AWESOME! Stay being awesome! And last but not least, Healer Ashton, as this would not be happening if it wasn't for her…"

He tried to find her in the audience.

"Without further ado, we have a garage rock band that formed for this event known as the Batty Bloodhounds. LET'S ROCK!"

Camille stopped the band before they could play their next song. "Sorry! We DON'T want any of our fellow classmates and peers to die! She shooed them off of the stage and smiled as she spoke into the microphone.

'If you have a song not about death, come up on stage and share it with all of Hogwarts!"

Alayna was excited for music night. She had gotten the help of Haven Munroe to finish writing the song she was going to perform. It was perfect. And she knew exactly who it was directed at. When Voclain opened the mic she was one of the first ones to the stage, "Thank you Professor Voclain. This is a song I wrote for a very special guy in the audience." She knew Chang was going to show. And she knew that by singing a song to Chang about what a bitch he was, would set James off. It was a two for one, it was going to be a fun night. 

He was going to be out of this godforsaken school soon enough, and James was hoping for a miracle that Lien would change his mind and join him; James figured Lien could still take his NEWTS when the time came as long as they were both out of this environment. He waited for this to happen all month, and now that music night had approached, the light at the end of the tunnel was becoming clearer and clearer.

Hearing Alayna's song, he crossed his arms and looked over at @Lien Chang . Why did the faculty insist on holding every thing in this gym? He had way too many negative memories associated with it! "What a cunt," he stated sharply as he pulled his hair back. "I think she's hung up on ya."

It was real tempting to try and sabotage her set...

He had some appreciation enough for music to be here, but mainly he just wanted to be supportive of James. He thought he would just hover around the back somewhere until he came on stage, but then Alayna walked into it.

She was performing? Was she actually musical at all? He rolled his eyes, believing Alayna was going to start singing a sappy love song about Rowle when she said special guy in the audience. He groaned. There were probably going to be a lot of horrible love songs being sung tonight...

Gag.

But when the music started up, Lien slowly realised Alayna's song wasn't a sappy love song about being in love, it was an even sappier one about breaking up. Lien groaned. "Just get over it already Alayna..." he muttered, feeling more embarrassed for her than feeling embarrassed himself.

Louis made absolutely no connection between the song being sung and the meaning behind it. He was just beaming up at Alayna. "Her voice is really good," he said spiritedly to someone nearby.

Atticus smiled at his sister. Although he was aware of the song being slightly spiteful, at least it was being expressed in a healthier, creative way. He just decided to ignore the context and clap for his sister's talent and stage presence. She really was a natural at it.

Lazar was constantly cleaning his glasses as Alayna performed her song. Why won't this annoying speck come out????

Alayna took her bows anand exited the stage making her way to Atticus side, "That felt really good." She said with a side smile on her face. She was practically glowing with after performance euphoria, "I wonder who's gonna go next."

Emery knew someone spilled her little secret and she wasn’t happy. She wasn’t happy about since she had some encounters with people, but tonight she wanted to enjoy herself. Everyone liked to doubt when when it comes to what she could do at so today she thought maybe she could let the world know that she had sang in her free time. She knew people would probably pick on her, but she didn’t care.

Watching everyone else go, she was next after Alayna. Giving her a little smirk as she got up to the stage and eyed the audience. “I know shocking right.” she said as she got the microphone. “I don’t usually tell people I sing, and I’d like to give a huge applause to Alayna.” she said smiling. Now it was here time.

Emery got her guitar out, and began playing. “I hope you enjoy.”

Molly didn’t expect Emery to perform and had to admit she was shocked. She listened to the song, and turned to someone a little taken aback. “I didn’t expect her to be that good.” she said a little confused.

Albus wasn’t her to support James on the slightest. He came to watch and when Emery went up to perform, and he watched her with a grin. He began clapping, and eyed James. He gave him a dark glare, he knew that James was one huge fucking ass and he clapped.

Well, at least it wasn't Alayna. He noticed Albus' look and simply shook his head.

Albus walked over to James and said. “Are you going to say Emery sucks?” he asked. She had been pretty good, “At least she is nice compared to you.” he laughed.

Well, he finally figured out which song he was going to perform.

"I told you to just leave me alone!"

Mackenzie had been standing in the crowd when she saw Albus approach james. This was going to be interesting. She walked over to the brothers and slid her arm around her house mates waist, "Everything good over here?" She asked with a raised eyebrow. She had on her stage outfit and makeup for her performance later so she looked extra devlish

Albus crossing his arms, “James being a pouty little baby like he always is, and too caught up in his own mind.” he said giving his brother a look.

“He’s being a disappointment as always”. he said with a dark chuckle. “Emery is probably the only true Gryffindor here.” he glared. “How about how fuck yourself.” he said as he got closer to James.

"Mum's pulling me out of Hogwarts," he said softly. "I won't bother you much longer..."

James was attempting to be the bigger person.

Albus couldn’t believe James was saying that. “So you are a coward?” he said in a dark tone. “I hope dad makes you regret that.” he said with a glare.

"Mum said it'd be healthier for me if I wasn't here..."

Merlin, he couldn't gather the energy to be mean to his brother.

Mackenzie pulled back on albus arm and shook her head, "Not the time or place. My dad will be pissed if a fight breaks out before mine and my sister's performances. Plus, he's not worth it."

Albus looked back at Mackenzie, “I hate that asshole. He thinks the world is out to get him, and doesn’t have any care for responsibility.” he told Mackenzie. He looked at James. “I hope you burn in hell, and you are one dumb fucking shit.”

He hated him so much. “Burn in hell.” he said looking over at James. He pulled away from Mackenzie. “I got an announcement to make about by my wonderful brother”

Looking around at everyone, “My brother is dropping out like the coward he is!” he said shouting to everyone. Walking over to James, “I hope your performance is one huge fucking farewell.”
