Jerome didn't usually use the changing rooms in the gym: he preferred to get dressed and showered in the dormitory, where it was a little more private. He'd heard some unsettling rumours about students doing things they shouldn't be doing in these changing rooms though, so he thought he'd use them today before working out. There were Prefects at this school who overlooked things, so he thought he was having to step up a bit himself. He wanted to actually do the job itself, not have it for the glory of status.

No one in this school seemed to like Prefects anyway, by default.

When he walked into the changing rooms, he immediately saw something. Typical. "What do you think you're doing?" he asked them, in a raised voice.

Jocelyn was changing g on the locker rooms so she could do some jogging around the gym due to the rain. Otherwise she would have jogged around the grounds. She jumped when she heard a voice behind her, especially a male one. She only had on a sports bra and her running shorts. She quickly grabbed her shirt to cover herself, "What the hell are you doing in here? This is the girls room, you pervert!"

From his angle, he'd only seen a hand reach inside of a bag and it looked like a bottle of something. So when a Gryffindor girl stepped out in just her support bra, Jerome's eyes widened in surprise. He blinked, open-mouthed for a while at the shock of it, and then quickly turned away when she called him a pervert.

"I-I swore this was the boy's changing rooms!" he insisted, clapping his hand over his eyes as well so she didn't think he was peeping. "I'm not a pervert! I just thought you were putting alcohol into your bag, I swear!"

"Well it's not. God, maybe you should check before you go in somewhere. I could have been completely naked." She felt very exposed. She put her shirt on and leaned down to tie her shoes, "It was a tube of deodorant. Not alcohol." She looked at him with a frown, "You're that prefect always trying to get people in trouble, aren't you?"

"Yeah - okay - message received. I'll just be..."

He tried to get out of there, but still had his hand over his eyes. He ended up walking smack into a pillar.

"Argh! Shit - I-I'm going! I swear..."

Deodorant?

"I'm not always trying to get people into trouble, that's not true. Just. Look. I'll talk to you outside, okay?"

He rushed out before any other girls walked in, and stood up against the wall outside, nursing a bloody nose.

Jocelyn was trying to stay serious but burst into laughter when he ran into the pillar. It was hilarious, "well geez, road hazard." She smiled a bit when he got all flattered. After she finished getting ready she walked outside and saw him there, "Here, let me fix that." She pulled her wand out of her shorts pocket and pointed it at his nose, "Episky." She said before returning the wand to it's holster, "Better?"

When she came outside and fixed his nose, he was relieved. First - that he didn't have to go to the hospital wing. Second - that she had forgiven him enough to heal up his nose. He tilted his head back down, rubbed his nose and looked at her.

"Thanks," he said, smiling a little.

But then he recalled her accusation.

"Anyway, it's not as if I'm trying to get students into trouble. There are just a lot of unruly people here. You transferred not long ago - I suppose you haven't got used to that yet." They hadn't really been introduced. He remembered taking her through the common room on her first day, and had seen her around, but that was it. "I'm Jerome."

She nodded at him and began doing her stretched to prep for her room. Bend over and touch your toes, stretching out your arms, stretching your legs out, the basics. "Yeah it's still a school full of children who get to be away from their aprents during the school year. I'd be worried if we didn't act out every once in a while. It's a teenager with a bit of freedom. They go nuts." She looked at him and smirked, "Jocelyn.*
