Meet me in the empty classroom on the second floor after lessons are over.

He'd messaged Alayna around lunchtime. They hadn't seen much of each other that day as Ptolemy was playing a lot of work catch up, but now he'd reached a point where he was on top of it again. He sat on one of the desks in the empty classroom, with his legs dangling off the edge. He seemed to be busy sending others messages through the Crystal: what a fantastic, innovative system it was. He sent one to Carina telling her that he was looking forward to their date.

Just when he heard footsteps outside, however, his head went up.

"This is overdue," he said, smirking at who it was.

Alayna recipes Rowles message and made her way to the classroom. She had some things she wanted to tell him. She was still angry after James Potter ruined what would have been a beautiful memory for her. She sat beside him on the desk and lied her head on his shoulder, "Very much over due. It was surprising to see her walking in the room in such a low mood, and immediately leaning herself against him. Ptolemy wrapped his arm around her comfortingly.

"Oh sweet heart... what is wrong?" he asked, in a deliberately over-the-top sort of way. He thought it was just some issue she had with a dress or something, not considering that anything could actually be more important than smiting Hazel Cartwright.

He'd just say he'd buy her a new dress exactly like the last one, and they'd be back on track for scheming...

Alayna leaned into his embrace and sighed, "James Potter is what's wrong. He pushed me Tolly. So you know what? You wanted to destroy him. Have at it. Cuz I got a story that would plaster papers for years." She said, a frown on her face. She didn't care anymore. She was angry.

He sat up, trying to keep a straight face - or at least retain the level of sympathy that he'd achieved initially.

"Your morals seemed to be so decided," he said airily, trying not to sound overly gleeful about her change of heart. "Whatever happened to change your mind?"

Whoa. This must be huge. Huger than what he'd thought.

"He wanted to threaten me. I honestly was afraid he was going to strike me, Ptolemy. It reminded me of being home with Theodore." She said, a darkness on her voice. He knew all about her relationship with her father, having been her shoulder to cry on plenty of times before. "Wonder how much the prophet would pay to type out an expose of Harry Potter's first born son being in the closet. He's gay. And I know who he's crushing on."

He held her, soothed her, but was waiting patiently for what he wanted: something that could be used against James Potter. It didn't have to be him, he supposed. It could have been another of their clan. Having anything against that family meant having the upper hand.

When she said it, Ptolemy wasn't as surprised as he thought he'd be. Somehow, he thought it would be something like that. It would explain why Alayna kept secret about it until now: because of Atticus.

"And how did you find out that?" he asked gleefully, grinning.

Alayna sighed and looked up at him, "Well, when we made out he didn't get hard at all. And it felt like I was kissing my brother. I asked him, he denied of course. But he denied it in a way that confirmed it. And since then we've argued about it a bit." She said, getting a bit angry, "He got pissed off because I was apparently bragging about hooking up with Lien and he got all butt hurt because he has a crush on him."
