Last minute plans (Fiona)

Maverick had heard that there was supposed to be some sort of meteor shower or something taking place that night that was supposed to be visible to where they were. As soon as he had heard, he had decided that it was the perfect opportunity for him to spend some time with Fiona, maybe to impress her a bit with his thoughtfulness. Girls liked that kind of thing, right? Maybe he wasn't always the best at it but at least he did put some effort into it. Fiona deserved as much after the way he had treated her so poorly in the beginning of their relationship.

So, he had brought some pillows and blankets up to the astronomy tower along with a bottle of wine he had managed to sneak in on their last Hogsmeade trip. He was old enough now to buy it but it still wasn't allowed at school. Not that that ever actually stopped anyone. Then he sent her a message on her crystal to meet him there, that he had a surprise for her. He just hoped it would be something that she would actually enjoy, he really did need to get to know her a little better anyway. Sure, he knew the important things about her but not everything. Not that that was actually a surprise. But it still made him wonder if this would be something good or if it would be wasting both of their time... He always second guessed himself with this romantic stuff.

Fiona was so glad when Maverick had talked to her via crystal. A surprise was something that Fiona needed, and she just wanted them to be able to enjoy themselves. They were too caught up with everything involving his sister and the entire situation, they barely had time for themselves. She had set out to meet Maverick and was curious what he had in store for her.

When she arrived to the Astronomy Tower, Fiona let out a smile. "Are we having a midnight rendezvous?" she asked as went over and kissed him. Before taking a look down, "Did they ever say how high up we are right now? I always reckoned it has to be at least a hundred feet." she laughed. Surely it had to be a lot as the towers at Hogwarts were extremely tall. It why it was so charming.

Maverick knew that there was a lot going on. Hell, he was still worried about Emerald and everything that was going on with her. But he knew that he still needed to live his life. He couldn't just sit around waiting to hear news. He couldn't just let life pass him by. So, he had decided to spend the evening with Fiona. He had barely seen her outside of when they had gone to see Emerald since the attack had happened. He smiled when she walked up the stairs into the tower. "You could say that. I thought we both needed a night to just escape everything." That had been his intentions.

He kissed her back before she stepped away to look down at the ground. "I'm not sure but it's pretty high." He confirmed, walking up to her and wrapping his arms around her waist. "I heard there was supposed to be some meteor shower that is supposed to be visible tonight, thought this would be the perfect place to watch it." Was she even into stuff like this? He didn't know. It wasn't necessarily his type of thing but he was going for romantic. He kissed her cheek as he remained standing behind her with his arms around her.
