But daddy (Jovian, Theodore)

Alayna was nervous about the meeting she had arranged with her father. She knew having Jovian there would make her a little less anxious, but it didnt put her in as much sense as she had hoped for. She sat at the table she had picked out for them and waited for either of them to arrive. She hoped it would be Jovian first, but she knew she couldnt be that lucky.

Theodore entered the Hogsmeade café and looked around its vicinity in distaste. He didn't like the state of what Hogsmeade was turning in to. It used to be a charming, quaint little village; but now it was being transformed into this hideous, pro-muggle town that was bound to run down through time. Unfortunately he had little influence when it came to what they built there, but he was extremely offended by the bowling alley.

He sat down on the table where Alayna was sat.

"Why have you called me here? I'm very busy, Alayna."

Alayna looked up at her father when he sat down and sighed, "Nice to see you too, Theodore. I'm quite well, thanks so much for asking." She said with a tone of sarcasm she had never dated to use with her father, "I thought you should know I'm seeing someone. I figured you two should officially meet."

"Don't speak to me that way," He snapped acidly, "You know to call me 'Father'. Don't be an incorrigible brat, like Riddle's disgusting children."

Seeing someone. Not again. He only hoped, this time, it wasn't a complete ne're-do-well like that Vettel boy. Theodore had very little faith in that.

"So you're courting," He eyed her in distaste. "Who is he?"

Jovian was a little bit held up, but managed to get into the café on time. He saw that Alayna and her Father were already sat there, and overheard Alayna breaking the news. She needed to be more tactful with her Father, he thought. Jaromir knew how to make a certain impression, though. He walked up to them and took a seat.

"It's me, Mr Nott," He told him, "It's good to see you again, sir."

Alayna glared at her father and clenched her jaw, "If you could not insult my best friend that would be awesome." She was going to say more when Jovian arrived. a wave if relief washed over her and she kissed his cheek before turning back to her father, "You remember, Jovian."

Theodore turned his eyes on Jovian Medina.

He supposed there could have been a worse prospect. The Medinas were a respectable family, although he was quite sure that they were serious when it came to marriage. Theodore felt fairly content about Alayna marrying Jovian, as long as they did. The last thing he needed was seeing shame brought to his family again, and it was usually Alayna who did that to them.

"I thought you were engaged to the Cartwright girl," Theodore grunted, looking around for service. He ordered a coffee when they arrived.

Alayna watched her father as he thought over the idea of her and Jovian. He seemed pleased enough, until he brought up Hazel. Alayna took a deep breath and smiled at her father, "He was. But obviously he isnt anymore. It got called off." She said hoping he wouldnt ask for any more details than that
