ambitions (lily)

For a little bit of extra credit, Louis occasionally helped out at the hospital wing. Despite his rather busy schedule of being a NEWT student in his final year, as well as head boy duties, he found time once every month to be there for a few hours.

As there wasn't very many students in the hospital wing at the moment, Louis was merely doing some of the paperwork about the current patients. Anything helped out the healers, and he was happy to do it.

Everyone who was related or friends with him knew that Louis wanted to be a healer himself. He had made his aspirations quite clear from a fairly young age, and was often gifted things related to the profession, which he was more than happy to receive. Being in the hospital wing made him feel a little slice of what could be, and that filled him with a sort of buzzing warmth.

One day, this would be his job.

Lily walked to the hospital wing with her another gryffindor girl who was feeling bit of ill. She was just had thrown up few minutes ago. She was here as support for her. She tried to spot someone who could help her. She helped the girl sit on the free bed.

She soon noticed her one of the older cousin. "Hey, Louis! Can you help my friend out here?" she asked from him when she was closer to him. She didn't really want to shout here. "She just doesn't feel good. Did throw up before I helped her here," she had to add.

Louis looked up from the desk when someone entered the wing. He was glad to see Lily, but immediately stood up and got serious: the girl she brought in looked quite unwell.

“Hello Lily,” He greeted fondly, going to the girl’s bedside. “Don’t worry. She’ll be fine.” He gave them both a reassuring smile. “What have you had to eat today? Mhm, all right. Have you taken any potions?”

He nodded when she said she hadn’t. He checked her forehead. She didn’t seem warm at all. He asked her a few other questions before reaching a conclusion. “Okay, I think it’s something that you ate. Not to worry. I’ll give you some potion for it. I know you feel nauseous, but just try to sip it.”

Smiling, he got her the potion before returning to them, and handing it to her.

He looked at Lily. “You’re a good friend to bring her here and help her out like that,” He told her, beaming.

Lily smiled at Louis and watched when her cousin did examine her friend there now. She just listened to what was said and nodded her head at times. There wasn't much to say until Louis addressed her. She was glad that her friend will be fine in the end and it wasn't anything very serious.

"Oh, thanks. Yeah, I couldn't just leave her there to struggle her own and I couldn't tell it wasn't her good idea come here by herself. It's a very long way down," she said with a small smile. She was a very good friend all the time. She loved to help others out.

"It's very thoughtful of you," He complimented, smiling at her. "Maybe you'll look into a profession in healing as well." He beamed at her fondly. Lily was still very young and didn't need to be thinking about her career yet, but it would be good if she knew her own strengths early on. She was a very caring person.

"I'm sorry we haven't really spoken much recently," He said, looking at the girl on the bed before returning his eyes to her. "I've been very busy with school work and head boy duties, as well as voluntary things like this. I'm just glad that I still get to spend time with Cherry."

He smiled.

"How are you getting on with school now?" He asked her.
