Ever since that Riddle girl used the cruciatus curse on him, Leo couldn't shake an annoying buzzing sound in his right ear. It was a few days ago now, but the tinnitus had only accumulated. No - he wasn't going to visit a healer over something so minor, nor was he going to admit to the discomfort.

He was known for being expelled from Hogwarts and impregnating his girlfriend, so sparing his pride of being tough was of uttermost importance. People needed to remember what a formidable adversary he was. So, he would just keep bellowing 'WHAT?!' to everyone who tried talking to him.

Of all the places that he could have gone, he went to a noisy club. He wanted a drink, but the music was frustratingly muffled. It was like trying to listen to something through a very thick, wooden box.

He sat grumpily at the bar.

Edith was beginning to write one of many reaction articles regarding the legalization of unforgivables; all she could think about was how the Daily Prophet was selling like hotcakes since the incident.

Knowing how busy nightclubs could get, she figured it'd be a great place to gain some more commentary. Edith went to the bar finding it better in terms of noise.

"Hello, sir. Edith Grayson from The Daily Prophet."

At first he thought the girl had said something about ‘getting off it’. That must’ve been some stupid way of saying she wanted to get drunk. In which case, he wanted to ignore her. Then, when it went through a few more pathways in his brain and he actually thought about it, he realised he’d misheard her.

The Daily Prophet.

”Yeah?” He answered begrudgingly. But felt no reason to add: ‘and?’

”... well it’s a bit shit, ain’t it?”

He wanted, badly, to leave it at that. The ringing in his ears squealed and he grimaced, tipped some of his beer down his gullet, and glowered at the glass as though it had insulted him. He knew at that point he was going to elaborate. He hadn’t had the chance to really express his thoughts on it before now - at the forefront of his life was constant baby talk.

”I mean quite a lot of people are idiots, so they’re gonna abuse it. Kids are also idiots, so they’re definitely gonna get trigger happy. I mean there’s smackin’ someone in the face and then that’s... somethin’ else.”

Edith watched as her automatic writing pen took note of the young man's words.

"I see. And what is your name, sir?"

Was it a good idea to give his actual name?

He'd never actually been questioned by the media before, and knew they could paint a sordid picture of him very easily. Then again, he didn't really care if they quoted him or not. It'd not as if it would cause substantial damage.

Yeah, Leo wasn't smart enough to use a false name.

"Leo Belvedere."

She nodded.

"Thank you, Mr. Belvedere."

Edith then walked away to impose questions on her next victim.
