Kazimir is an intelligent man who loves to dabble in a wide variety of hobbies and topics, when he finds something he doesn't know, he'll dive right in to research it, his current hobby is making dollhouses, but his apartment and office in Norway is filled with the remains of his various other hobbies and interests, leaving him in a sort of controlled chaos. He's soft spoken and smiles easily, and has a lot of charm, he'd be more popular, except he's a little flaky when it comes to committing to plans. Despite his pleasant exterior, beneath it he can be ruthless, willing to betray those who consider him their friend in order to advance his own goals, he's more loyal to those he views as family, but will cut them off if he feels they've wronged him in some way.


Kazimir was born in Russia in 1981 to Luka Volk and Dominika Zima, two magic-users respected not for their storied bloodlines but for their personal accomplishments. Luka was a very skilled detective in the wizarding world and Dominka was a potion's master who published several books that became the go-to textbook for Eastern European wizards. Kazimir had a normal childhood for a wizard, he presented magic at an early age, and was encouraged by his parents and family friends to show off his skills, leading to him becoming a rather egotistical young child.
He studied at Durmstrang Institute, the alma mater of his parents, where he excelled in potions and defensive spells. Thanks to his father's connections, he was able to attend the triwizard tournament when he was 13. Though it was not his first exposure to dark wizards, it was his first brush with death eaters, and his only real encounter with that particular brand of dark wizard during his school days, but he was fascinated by their schemes, particularly the infiltration of the schools by dark wizards.
Back at Durmstrang, Kazimir began to experiment with darker types of magic and associate with more dangerous types of people, even the children of death eaters who were sympathetic to the cause; however, his pushing of the limits of Durmstrang's rules ended in tragedy. He and a small group of friends were exploring the forest around the school when they were attacked by a werewolf on a full moon, only Kazimir, with his knowledge of how to stop the bleeding, was able to survive, unfortunately cursed with Lycanthropy. After that night, things changed for Kazimir, despite his attempts to hide his condition, word got out, and he spent the rest of his school years shunned by the prejudiced 'ordinary' students. It was the death eaters, who saw his power as a werewolf as something that could be used, who accepted him. After the second defeat of Voldemort, the death eaters at Durmstrang stopped being open about their dark magic associations, but they continued spending time together and practicing dark magic in secret.
After graduating, Kazimir once again leveraged his father's connections to get a job in the Russian ministry of magic, starting low on the ladder as a paper filer and gradually working his way up, though his irregular work schedule due to what he claimed was chronic illness made it difficult to get the job through hard work, so he advanced through bribery and connections instead. When the death eaters took over the ministry, he was more than willing to make the move to Norway, secretly acting as Head Duelist for the death eaters.
